Instructor Profile

This course is lead by an experienced instructor, Peter Kallai, who is an entrepreneur, a consultant to high-tech organizations and advisor to numerous early and growth stage technology companies.

Peter Kallai, B.Comm., MBA

Peter Kallai is a senior high-tech management consultant who has worked extensively for leading companies, research organizations and growth-stage companies in Silicon Valley North. He has consulted with the National Research Council of Canada, Canadian Space Agency, Nortel, TMI Communications Inc., Gandalf Technologies Inc., InfoPeople Inc. I-Logos Internet Intelligence Inc., and Atlantis Scientific Inc.

Peter has also been involved in the creation of many startup companies, including Vitesse Re-Skilling Inc., eGazelles.com Inc. and Neurochem Inc. He co-founded and was Vice-president of SOMOS Consulting Group Ltd., one of the premier, mid-sized consulting firms in Silicon Valley North. Before co-founding SOMOS, Peter was a Senior Associate with Ernst & Young Management Consulting and, prior to his consulting career, worked for Micro-D Corp. (now Ingram Micro Ltd.) as a Product Marketing Manager.

In addition to working with specific companies, Peter has conducted extensive research on how to create a successful technology company. From this research and hands-on entrepreneurial experience, he has identified the most common problems faced by technology companies at the various stages of development. Keystep Growth and Finance is founded on that experience, on working with companies to help them achieve their strategic goals, and on continuous research into the industry’s best practices.

Peter is a member of the Regional Innovation Forum and an active participant in the Forum’s Finance Committee.
